Common Questions About Pricing

Why are your kittens $2,000?

This price reflects the significant investment we make in each kitten: champion imported bloodlines, annual health screenings by Dr. Sarah Mitchell (board-certified cardiologist), premium nutrition (Royal Canin + raw), comprehensive vaccinations, microchipping, spay/neuter, and weeks of hands-on socialization. We're not running a kitten mill – we're raising healthy, well-adjusted family members.

Why is the deposit non-refundable?

When you place a deposit, we turn away other interested families and commit that kitten (or spot) to you. If you change your mind, we've potentially missed months of other opportunities. We totally understand that life happens – if something changes, we're happy to credit your deposit toward a future kitten instead.

How is the cost structured?

Our deposit structure naturally spreads the cost: $500 for the waiting list, then $1,000 when you select your kitten, then the final $500 at pickup. Most families find this works well. If you need something different, just ask – we're real people and we want to work with you.

Are there any additional costs?

The $2,000 covers everything needed for your kitten to go home. If you need shipping, that's an additional cost (see our shipping page). But there are no hidden fees, surprise charges, or "oh by the way" costs. What you see is what you pay.

Do you charge more for rare colors?

Nope! All our kittens are $2,000 regardless of color, pattern, or gender. A solid white kitten costs the same as a brown tabby. We think every kitten deserves an equal chance at a great home, not just the "trendy" colors.

Understanding Siberian Kitten Pricing

Why Quality Siberian Cats Cost More

When you search for "Siberian kittens for sale" online, you'll find prices ranging from a few hundred dollars to several thousand. This wide range reflects the enormous difference between responsible breeding programs and backyard breeders or kitten mills. At SiberianSnow Cattery, our $2,000 price point represents a commitment to health, temperament, and breed standards that cheaper alternatives simply cannot match.

Our breeding cats are imported from champion European lines with documented pedigrees going back generations. Each breeding cat undergoes annual cardiac screening by Dr. Sarah Mitchell, a board-certified feline cardiologist, along with genetic testing for PKD, HCM, and other hereditary conditions. This testing alone costs hundreds of dollars per cat, per year – but it's essential for producing healthy kittens that will be with your family for 15-20 years.

What Your Investment Covers

The $2,000 price for a SiberianSnow kitten includes everything needed for your new family member to thrive. Your kitten will be fully vaccinated with age-appropriate shots, microchipped and registered to you, spayed or neutered, and examined by our veterinarian before going home. You'll receive complete TICA registration papers, a detailed health record, and our comprehensive 2-year genetic health guarantee.

Beyond the medical care, your kitten has been raised on premium nutrition – Royal Canin kitten food supplemented with raw food – and has received weeks of hands-on socialization in our home. They've been exposed to children, dogs, household sounds, and plenty of handling. This early investment in socialization produces confident, well-adjusted cats who transition smoothly into their new homes.

Comparing Breeder Prices

If you find Siberian kittens advertised for significantly less than $1,500-2,500, proceed with caution. Low prices often indicate corners being cut – no health testing, poor nutrition, inadequate veterinary care, or kittens being separated from their mothers too early. These "savings" frequently result in expensive veterinary bills down the road, not to mention the heartbreak of losing a beloved pet to preventable genetic conditions.

Reputable Siberian breeders across the United States typically charge between $1,800 and $3,000 for pet-quality kittens. Our pricing falls squarely in this range, reflecting our commitment to ethical breeding practices, comprehensive health testing, and the ongoing support we provide to every family who adopts from us.
