Hannah and Mark Thomas with Siberian cats

How It All Started (Spoiler: Mark Sneezed A Lot)

Back in 2017, our daughter Emma wouldn't stop asking for a cat. Problem was, Mark is – or was – super allergic. Like, eyes-swelling-shut, can't-breathe allergic. So for years, we said no.

Then I (Hannah here!) stumbled across an article about Siberian cats and their lower Fel d 1 protein levels. I was skeptical, but desperate enough to try. We drove three hours to meet a breeder's cat, and Mark... didn't sneeze. Not once. He was so shocked he made us stay another hour just to be sure.

We brought home our first Siberian, Duchess, in January 2018. By March, we'd decided we wanted to share this magic with other families like ours. Seven years, eight adult cats, and hundreds of happy adoptions later, here we are!

TICA Registration #38492 – we're the real deal, y'all.

What We Believe In

These aren't just words on a website – this is how we live

Home-Raised, Not Kennel-Kept

Our cats live in our house. Like, actually in our house. They sleep on our beds (much to Mark's fake dismay), watch TV with the kids, and supervise every Zoom call. When you get a SiberianSnow kitten, they already know what a vacuum cleaner sounds like – and they're not scared of it!

Health Before Everything

Every one of our breeding cats is screened by Dr. Sarah Mitchell, a board-certified feline cardiologist here in Austin. We test for HCM, PKD, and run full genetic panels. It's expensive, honestly, but it's the only way we'll do it.

Forever Family

When you adopt from us, you can email me anytime. Send me a message at 2am when your kitten does something weird – I will respond. We've had families reach out years later with questions, and we're always happy to help.

Nutrition Obsessed

We feed Royal Canin kitten food supplemented with a raw food rotation. It's what our vet recommends, and honestly, our cats look like little fluffy supermodels. You'll get a complete diet guide when you adopt.

Our Breeding Philosophy

We're not a kitten factory. We're a family that happens to breed exceptional Siberian cats. Our queens have at most two litters per year, with plenty of rest and recovery time between. We believe in quality over quantity, always.

Every breeding decision we make is based on health first, temperament second, and appearance third. Sure, we want beautiful cats – and we have them – but a gorgeous cat with health problems or a difficult personality isn't doing anyone any favors.

Our breeding cats are retired between ages 5-7 and either stay with us as beloved pets or go to carefully selected forever homes where they can enjoy their golden years being spoiled rotten.

Why Austin, Texas?

People sometimes ask why we're breeding Russian forest cats in Texas. Fair question! The truth is, Austin is our home. Mark's job brought us here in 2015, and we fell in love with the city's weird, wonderful energy.

Our cats are indoor cats with climate-controlled comfort, so the Texas heat doesn't bother them one bit. And being centrally located means we can ship kittens to families across the country with relatively short flight times. Austin's airport has direct flights to most major cities, which makes our flight nanny service efficient and less stressful for the kittens.

Plus, there's something special about raising cats in a city that celebrates being different. Our Siberians fit right in with Austin's "Keep It Weird" vibe.
