A Simple, Transparent Adoption Process

At SiberianSnow Cattery, we've designed our Siberian kitten adoption process to be straightforward, transparent, and built around finding the right match between every kitten and every family. Whether you're researching the breed for the first time or you're ready to buy a Siberian kitten today, we'll walk you through each step at your pace.

Every kitten leaves our home fully vetted, TICA-registered, microchipped, and backed by our 2-year health guarantee, so you can focus on the joyful part: meeting your new family member. From your first inquiry to lifetime post-adoption support, here's exactly what to expect.

Step 1 · Inquiry

Reach Out and Get to Know Us

Your Siberian kitten adoption journey begins with a simple message. Use our contact form or email us at contact@siberiansnowcattery.com. Tell us a little about yourself, your household, and what you're looking for in a Siberian companion.

This first conversation is also your chance to ask questions about the breed, our breeding program, our champion European bloodlines, and how Siberians compare to other cats, especially if you have allergies and are exploring hypoallergenic Siberian kittens for sale. There's no pressure and no obligation. We just want to make sure a Siberian is the right fit for your family before you go any further.

What we'll cover

  • Your living situation and other pets in the home
  • Your experience with cats and any allergy considerations
  • Whether you'd prefer a male or female, and any color preferences (traditional or Neva Masquerade)
  • Your timeline, ready now, or planning for a future litter
Response within 24 hours, often much sooner
Step 2 · Match

Choose Your Kitten or Join the Waiting List

Once we've established that a Siberian kitten is right for your family, we'll share detailed information about our currently available Siberian kittens, full photo galleries, short videos, and personality notes for each one. Every kitten in our home has a distinct personality, and we'll help you narrow down the match that suits your lifestyle.

Two clear paths forward:

  • Reserve an available kitten. If a specific Siberian kitten captures your heart and is still available, you can move directly to Step 3 and place a deposit to hold them for you.
  • Join the waiting list. If you're looking for specific traits (color, sex, personality) or want to align with a future litter, a waiting-list deposit gives you priority pick when new kittens arrive.

For families within driving distance of Galveston or Houston, we warmly invite you to visit by appointment. An in-person visit is the best way to test allergy compatibility and meet the parents of your future kitten. Long-distance families get the same personalized treatment over video call.

Ongoing communication until you find your match
Step 3 · Reserve

Application, Reservation & Deposit

When you're ready to buy a Siberian kitten, we'll send you a short adoption application. It covers your home environment, household members, other pets, planned veterinary care, and your understanding of Siberian care needs. The application isn't a hurdle, it's how we ensure every kitten goes to a thoughtful, prepared home.

Once approved (typically within 2-3 business days), a non-refundable deposit officially reserves your kitten. The deposit is applied directly to the final adoption fee and locks in your kitten while they finish growing and complete their veterinary milestones.

  • Signed adoption contract with our 2-year health guarantee
  • Confirmed pickup or delivery date
  • Personalized preparation checklist for your new kitten
  • Direct line to Hannah for any questions during the wait
Application reviewed in 2-3 business days
Step 4 · Updates

Watch Your Siberian Kitten Grow

The waiting period is one of the most rewarding parts of the adoption process. From the moment your kitten is reserved until they're old enough to come home, you'll receive regular photo and video updates, weekly at minimum, and often much more frequently. You'll watch their personality develop, their triple coat fluff out, and their distinctive Siberian features take shape.

During this stretch, your kitten is being raised underfoot in our home. They're socialized with our family, our other cats, our dog, and the everyday sounds of family life, so by the time they reach you, they're confident, curious, and fully ready to bond.

Veterinary milestones before going home

  • Two rounds of age-appropriate vaccinations (FVRCP)
  • Comprehensive deworming and parasite prevention
  • Microchipping registered in your name
  • Final wellness exam by our licensed veterinarian
  • Full health records and our signed 2-year health guarantee
Weeks 4-12 · weekly updates and milestones
Step 5 · Homecoming

Pickup or Nationwide Delivery (12-14 Weeks)

Siberian kittens go home between 12 and 14 weeks of age, old enough to be fully weaned, vaccinated, and emotionally ready to bond with their new family. The remaining balance is due before pickup, and we'll have everything organized for a smooth handoff.

Choose how your kitten travels home

  • Local pickup in Galveston, TX. Visit our home cattery, meet the parents, and bring your kitten home in person. Many families turn it into a Gulf Coast weekend trip.
  • Fly to Houston (HOU/IAH) and drive in. We're 40 minutes from both Houston airports, a popular option for families who want to take their kitten home in-cabin themselves.
  • Flight nanny delivery. A trusted, experienced courier flies in-cabin with your kitten to your nearest major airport. We coordinate everything.
  • Ground transport. Available for families within reasonable driving distance who prefer not to fly.
Your kitten goes home with:
  • Starter kit (Royal Canin kitten food, favorite toy, blanket scented with mom)
  • Complete vaccination and health records
  • TICA registration papers
  • Detailed care guide and feeding schedule
  • Lifetime email support from Hannah

See our shipping FAQ for current flight nanny rates and timing.

Coordinated around your schedule
Step 6 · Forever

Lifetime Support After Adoption

Our relationship with your family doesn't end at pickup, in many ways, it's just beginning. We check in during the first 24 hours, the first week, and at major milestones to make sure your Siberian kitten is settling in beautifully. We're invested in your kitten's long-term health and happiness, not just the moment they leave our home.

Whether you have questions about nutrition, grooming the triple coat, behavior quirks, or just want to share photos of your Siberian conquering a new piece of furniture, we're a quick email away, for life. Many of our families stay in touch for years, and we love watching their cats grow up.

What lifetime support looks like

  • Direct access to Hannah by email, anytime
  • Behavior, nutrition, and grooming guidance whenever you need it
  • Coordination with your veterinarian if a guarantee-related issue ever arises
  • Take-back commitment, if life ever changes, we'll always welcome our kittens back
Ongoing · for the lifetime of your cat

Your Kitten's First Weeks at Home

Bringing home a Siberian kitten is exciting, but the transition takes a little patience. Here's a realistic look at what the first month usually feels like.

Day 1

The First 24 Hours

Your kitten will likely be quiet, cautious, and a little overwhelmed by new sights and smells. Set up a small "base camp" room with food, water, litter, a bed, and one familiar toy. Let them come to you on their own terms, most kittens hide for a few hours before exploring.

Week 1

Building Confidence

By the end of the first week, the real Siberian personality starts to shine through, curious, playful, and surprisingly people-oriented. Stick to the same Royal Canin kitten food schedule we send home, and gradually open up the house room by room as confidence grows.

Weeks 2-4

Fully at Home

By the second week your kitten will have claimed favorite spots, bonded with family members, and likely befriended the resident dog or cat. Schedule a wellness visit with your veterinarian within the first 7-14 days, and enjoy watching your Siberian settle into the heart of the household.
