When you contact SiberianSnow Cattery, you're not reaching a commercial breeding operation or a kitten mill. You're connecting directly with Hannah and Mark Thomas, a family who has dedicated their lives to breeding healthy, well-socialized Siberian cats in the heart of Austin, Texas. Since 2018, we've been matching families across the United States with their perfect Siberian companions, and we take that responsibility seriously.
Our kittens are raised in our home, not in cages or separate facilities. They grow up alongside our two children, our golden retriever Max, and plenty of household activity. This means when your kitten arrives home, they're already accustomed to the sounds, smells, and chaos of family life. They're not just beautiful cats – they're confident, well-adjusted companions ready to become part of your family.
Every kitten from SiberianSnow Cattery comes with full TICA registration (our cattery number is #38492). Our breeding cats descend from Grand Champion European imports, carefully selected for their health, temperament, and adherence to the Siberian breed standard. We work closely with Dr. Sarah Mitchell, a board-certified feline cardiologist, to ensure all our breeding cats receive comprehensive cardiac screenings before entering our program.
This commitment to health testing isn't just paperwork – it's our promise to you that we're doing everything possible to produce healthy kittens that will be with your family for years to come. Our 2-year genetic health guarantee backs up that promise with real protection for your investment.
One of the most common reasons families contact us is because someone in their household has cat allergies but desperately wants a feline companion. Siberian cats produce significantly lower levels of the Fel d 1 protein – the primary allergen that causes reactions in sensitive individuals. While no cat is truly 100% hypoallergenic, many allergy sufferers find they can live comfortably with Siberians when other breeds cause severe reactions.
Mark, Hannah's husband, was allergic to cats before they got their first Siberian. Now they share their home with eight of these magnificent cats with no issues. If you have allergies, we encourage you to visit our cattery in person (by appointment) to spend time with our cats before committing. We want you to be confident in your decision.
While we're based in Austin, Texas, we've successfully placed kittens with families across all 50 states. Our flight nanny program ensures your kitten travels safely and comfortably, accompanied by an experienced handler who provides updates throughout the journey. For families within driving distance, we welcome you to pick up your kitten in person – many of our adopters turn it into a fun Austin weekend trip!
